I've started writing and rejected multiple posts so far this week. Think of a movie about a writer with writer's block. It has pretty much been like that, lots of crumpled paper and backspacing. I decided I had to end it at some point, or there would never be a new post for you guys!
My desk is currently covered in notes, many of which say something along the lines of "blog post tonight!" I have a deep love for sticky notes, which means those notes are accompanied by many others featuring lists, reminders, etc.
Other than this, my life has recently been revolving around new classes and day dreaming about college.
My fashion program ended last week and I've taken on three new classes. Foundations of Technology, Advanced Foods, and Financial Literacy (I'm also still in AP Literacy and my independent study in Fashion Marketing.)
As for day dreaming, I have less than four months until graduation, and I can't help but think about next year almost constantly. Nothing is set in stone yet, which makes me anxious. My first choice is The Fashion Institute of Technology and the more time that passes, the more I feel like I'm set on going there. I guess I've talked about this a few times, but it's what encompasses my mind a lot of the time. The school says they send out acceptance in April, but everyone I've talked to has said they received theirs earlier, February or March. So, here's hoping for February!
I guess I'll wrap this up. I honestly do have post ideas to put up soon, which I know I always say. I just haven't been able to work everything out for them yet. Like having my room clean at the right time, or having time to take/edit/upload photos (not that much of a demanding process, but my computer seems to make it one.)
I promise to be productive this weekend, I'll go ahead and tell you the next post so I can't back out of it! I've been planning a post about a new line of nail polish from Wet n' Wild. I'll be doing a review and sharing my favorite colors!

Things I Can't Live Without This Week.
OPI Black ShatterThis is the newest nail polish trend, and I'm absolutely loving it. Its a black polish that you can put over any other color (glitters and duo chromes look great) and the black polish separates creating a shattered look. This might be a little tough to find because it has been selling out everywhere, but call around to different Ulta locations and different local salons. I was able to pick mine up on Saturday and I've already tried two different manicures with it.
SweatersWhen it's absolutely bitter out and the ground is covered in snow, how can you not love cozy sweaters? My favorites are extremely comfortable in neutral colors. I'm a big fan of a ribbed gray flyaway sweater.
Light Years Away by Mozella
I've been listening to this song a ton since I heard it on One Tree Hill (more about this at the end of the post.) The singer has a really nice voice that is just easy to listen to and I love the lyrics.
EyelinerOf course eyeliner isn't something I've never been familiar with before, but lately I've been loving having a nice black line on my upper lash line. I used to wear a gray on my bottom lash line, but I've given it up for this. Not wearing bottom eyeliner really opens up your eyes, but the black line on your upper lash line makes your lashes look thicker (always good.) I switch between using gel eyeliner with an angled eyeliner brush and using a liquid eyeliner. My favorites are the Maybelline Eye Studio gel eyeliner in Blackest Black and the ELF liquid eyeliner in Black.
Disintegration by Jimmy Eat World
I couldn't just choose one song as a favorite for the week because I've been listening to two just about equally. I also heard this one on One Tree Hill (the show includes so much good music, you'd be surprised, I swear.) I don't know what to say about the song, I just love it.
ComfortersMe and my friends are already planning how we'll decorate our dorms and the most important part is the comforter. I've been loving looking for the perfect one. I don't know that I've found that one yet, but definitely some viable options!
One Tree HillIf you didn't know this already, I'm a bit of a television junkie. While the latest blizzard was going on I blew through a lot of TV on DVD and started watching old episodes of One Tree Hill. I started watching this show in middle school, and always loved the early seasons. Sometimes when you re-watch a show you'll wonder why you ever thought it was so great, but I'm actually finding I've been liking One Tree Hill even more than before. There is a bit too much basketball in the first few episodes, but after that it really turns into a great show, and I found myself hooked all over again.

How Time Tolls.

I've had a lot going on recently, and of course that has translated into being an infrequent blogger.
I've been wrapping up the semester, which means in a few days I'll be done with my fashion program and back to all regular classes. Senioritis is really going to set in then.
I've received good news recently, I got my second college acceptance. The first was to LIM, a small fashion school in Manhattan, and the most recent was to Philadelphia University. I'm still waiting to hear back from my top choice, The Fashion Institute of Technology. From the school I have heard that acceptances come out around April 1st, but I know people who have gotten theirs around the end of February. I'm really starting to get anxious, I felt confident with my essay, but I would just love to know.
I've been getting pretty excited about the prospect of going to college in the fall and living in Manhattan. I have a close friend who will be doing the same, and I've been loving looking for makeup storage ideas and cute comforters with her. Looking at cute dorm rooms is also one of my absolute favorite things.
School has been canceled the past few days due to snow, which has given me tons of time to relax. I haven't been very productive, but today I'm hoping things will go differently. I'm going to tidy up my room (it's mostly a matter of putting makeup away, placing clothes in the laundry basket, and putting shoes back in their place, not a big deal.) I'm also going to do a bit of shopping, so hopefully I'll have some excellent blogging material for another post in the next few days. I'm also thinking perhaps I would benefit from doing a blog-everyday-of-the-month thing for February. Something I'm definitely considering, it would coincide nicely with the start of the new semester. I also need to take some time and get back to comments, I appreciate every one of them and I need to show it! It really is nice when I check my email and it says my post has a new comment, I love knowing that what I'm saying is being read and appreciated.
Expect more of me this week, I PROMISE!

Fall Into Place.
I can't believe I haven't posted posted since my fashion class had our fashion show! It all went really well, and I had planned to do a big post about it. The only problem was that none of my pictures turned out. I'll figure something out though, I definitely want to talk about it at some point.
Anyway, I just wanted to share exciting news with all of you. I received my first college acceptance today, to LIM. LIM is a fashion business school in Manhattan if you aren't familiar with it. It's my second choice, but it was exciting nonetheless.
Have a great week!

Welcome, Hello.

I thought I'd sum up my day with a few pictures, and then for good measure at the end of the post I have progress photos of a recycled outfit. So, first off, I replaced my broken keyboard today.

I also bought a Yankee Candle in Hot Buttered Rum. I had smelled a candle before Christmas in the same scent at Bath and Body Works, I loved it but wanted to wait until they had it in other size. I went back for it two days later and they were sold out, and I couldn't find it anywhere else either. So, this candle is bigger, cost less, and probably smells better! I've been burning it since I got home and fills the whole house.

The last important part of my day focuses on nail polish. I got a skirt for Christmas that ended up not fitting and had to exchange it. I decided to exchange it for a little indulgence and bought a Chanel nail polish in Paradoxal. It's a beautiful grey-purple with a great purple shimmer. It applied very easy and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I would have gotten a picture of it on my nails but I took all these photos before they were painted. (And for those of you very familiar with Chanel nail polish, it didn't have that square top that they're supposed to, does that usually come in the box?)

Moving on to my recycled project, I chose to use magazine pages and left over duct tape from another project. First I made tons and tons of fans out of magazine pages.

And here is the mess after only making a few.

Here is my floor after I finished the dress. Disaster!

And lastly, here is my dress. I think it was even worth the major glue gun wounds I inflicted upon myself while working on it.
Countdown to the fashion show: 4 days not including Friday!

Phases and Clauses and Pauses.
Indeed, it appears that an entire week has passed since I got off for Christmas break, and not a single post has been made.
The day that we got out of school my keyboard ended up breaking, typing was possible, I just couldn't include certain letters, spaces, or capitalized letter. It ended up making blogging a bit of a hassle, as you can imagine. I'm actually planning to go and get a new keyboard tomorrow, I'm using someone else's to make this post. Anyway, to the important stuff!
Happy New Year! Sometimes the start of a new year is more exciting than others, but I'd have to say that this is a particularly excited one. 2011 will be the year I graduate, the year I start college, and I'm sure lots of other exciting things are to come as well.
I recently submitted my last essay for the colleges I'm applying too, and it was for one of my top choices (The Fashion Institute of Technology). Now that I'm just waiting to hear back from schools, it's made everything seem more real and more exciting.
I hope 2011 will be a great year for you all!
I resolve to be a better blogger, a more outgoing person, and to make the most of 2011.
Expect another post from me tomorrow! After that this week will be very busy in preparations for the fashion show, then they'll die down and I'll be back to the consistency of summertime/first month of school blogging.
I appreciate any support that I received in 2010 and can only hope to continue blogging and interacting with all of you in 2011!

Impossible Is So Probable.
I want to apologize for being a bad blogger. I haven't forgotten about you guys, I've just been busy and honestly, pretty unmotivated.
I do have lots of exciting stuff coming up, and although that means I still have more work to do, I'm planning to get back into the swing of things as far as blogging goes over Christmas break and then try to keep it up.
I do have a couple ideas of how to keep myself posting. As much as I love my drawn out, text filled posts, sometimes I just can't think of anything worthwhile to share. Which means, that during the weeks when I just can't find the time between sewing and writing Jane Eyre papers, I'll try to make brief posts about different aspects of my day. Either a few shots of project I've recently completed, or a picture of my outfit that day.
As for that exciting stuff I mentioned, I mean I am a senior. It's supposed to be an exciting time in your life! I'm applying to colleges and waiting to hear back. I'm (hopefully) preparing myself to go to school for fashion merchandising and live in New York. Just thinking about it could probably provide me with a million posts.
Of course Christmas is coming up too, which is exciting for everyone. I've only ever thought of "Christmas came so fast this year!" as being something that adults say. Christmas never comes fast, and the school year never flies by. But hey, it really did this year. I can't believe it's here, and I can't wait to wear my ugly Christmas sweater.
And the last exciting thing actually has a lot to do with my lack of posting. I go to a technology center for part of my high school day (and have been since last January,) where I've had to create over twenty outfits. When the fashion program ends in January we're having a fashion show. There has been a ton of work involved, and a bit of a time crunch as well. There is still a lot left to do, but I'm excited to take a ton of pictures when it happens and share them!

I'm almost to the end of the post, I promise! I didn't want to just leave you with a bunch of text after so long, so here is an outfit picture I took and planned to share with you two weeks ago. I wore this when I was going to buy fabric for a formal wear project. The thought process behind it was as follows: what in my closet isn't wrinkled? And that was that. I also was wearing flat black suede boots, my dark gray Calvin Klein peacoat, and a ring shaped like a panda.
Okay, this is the final portion of this giant mess of text. I plan to be a better blogger, and I'd like to ask just one thing of you guys. Feedback, feedback, feedback. Tell me what you'd like to see more of, tell me what I need to change, ask me questions, anything! You can leave me comments as usual, or I have other contacts (twitter, email, tumblr) on the left.
