Pants On The Ground.

Today in class we had a long discussion on the topic of leggings as pants and their appropriateness in the workplace.

So, of course I thought of all the opinionated people in blog world and knew I had to ask. What do you think of leggings as pants?

Personally, I don't ever want to see someone wearing leggings and their rear to be exposed, it should always be covered by a short dress or long shirt. However, even then, I think that kind of look is only appropriate for outside of school and work. If you want to wear leggings to school or work, the thing you're wearing with them should come at least to your mid-thigh (aka you should be able to switch the leggings out with tights and not be committing a faux pas.)

For a long time I was anti-leggings. Now I own a pair and will wear them with boots so that the cutoff point is covered. That way they're just like a more diverse version of sweater tights. Anyway, the point is, my opinion on leggings has wavered a little bit since they became popular again, but I definitely don't see my mind changing about leggings as pants.

Do you take a cue from Blair Waldorf (Leggings are not pants!) or Lindsay Lohan?
